OneNewsNow is reporting that North Korean exiles are receiving help and training to return to the communist nation so they can spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Seoul USA, along with Voice of the Martyrs Canada, has launched a 12-month project known as “Underground University.” The project, based in South Korea, equips North Korean exiles with the tools and training they need to return and spread the gospel inside the communist nation.

H.S. Foley, CEO of Seoul USA, says the risk is great for those who leave North Korea then want to return. “North Korea is a very closed country,” she shares. “That’s why anybody who left and comes back…gets investigated by North Korea’s government. But spreading the gospel is very important to North Korean defectors in South Korea. That’s why they want to get more training.”

An estimated 15,000 North Korean defectors are living in South Korea.
